Assistant Chief

Assistant Chief Jay Wiggins began his fire services career as a volunteer firefighter in 1980, shortly after moving to the island. As an integral part of that early team, A/C Wiggins worked in every operational capacity as he rose through the ranks and was eventually promoted to the chief officer position in 1989.

As an EMT, A/C Wiggins continues to contribute to the health and safety of those who live in our community, often arriving first on scene and providing emergency medical treatment and services whenever needed. A/C Wiggins is an accomplished leader, offering over 41 years of experience focused on operational improvements, emergency medical services, and firefighter training.
