Prop 1, approving funding for Anderson Island's first fire station passes by an overwhelming 85%.

21 Volunteers join the department and our first fire truck is acquired.

District meetings are held at the Anderson Island Library.

Fire Station built.

First EMT in the department.

Fire tender vehicle purchased.

Official meetings moved from being held in the library to Riviera Club office.

First ambulance purchased.

Acquired tanker truck from Riviera donation.

Responded to first medical call.

14 volunteer firefighters complete basic firefighter course.

Two additional vehicle bays added to the existing station, bringing the total to four.

Marine Unit established.

Our fire boats have responded to: patient transports, marine fires, shore fires, search and rescue operations, flare sightings, stranded passengers and vessel assistance.
